Mission Statement

The 60's. Gas was cheap, Twin Teepees had the best burger in town, and the Internet was just an idea we were mulling over. And there was a spirit in the air, a spirit of change, and we were angry. I remember it well. Knute was out there angrily picketing, standing up to the culture of fear and corruption. And I was there, too, angrily protecting and defending his right to do so as a member of the ROTC.

Together we changed the world as I recall. But the culture of fear and corruption are still here, as strong as ever. And, well, anger is a young man's game. But that doesn't mean two old veterans of the culture wars can't work up the dudgeon, moral consternation and deep concern to be utterly cross about these modern times of ours. The War. The Viaduct. Windstorm 2006. Feelin' cross yet?

That's what Crosscoot.com is all about.

Oh sure, we will do lawful picketing and sit-ins and sing responsible songs of protest and change on Crosscoot.com. But there'll be so much more. Movie reviews (loved "Borat," by the way. And "An Inconvenient Truth" had a lot of important things to say), recommendations on local and regional transportation policy, recipes, advice on modern morals and manners, weather, and sassy tips on the latest fashion dos and don'ts, all in my blog. And Knute will hold forth every week on the Monorail and the Seattle Commons.

All written in that breezy and bright style that you see evidenced right here. Join us! We are seeking an additional $300,000 in investments, tax-deductible grants and outright gifts in order to develop Flash graphics, streaming video and live-feed capabilities for this important website.
