Hello Belltown folks, I am forwarding this to all of you. Sara has summed this up pretty well. We are ready to take ownership of our neighborhood and send the message that we are proud of where we live and work and we are not going to tolerate the undesirable criminal element any longer.
We have already done all the work putting this together. All we need now is for you guys to come take a walk with us. Pretty simple really, and you get some exercise. This has worked in other neighborhoods, not just in Seattle, but around the country. I think you will all be pleasantly surprised at the results of your efforts. Please distribute the flyer, if you can. I hope to see you all, if not at the info session, then on our first walk.
Thank you for your help and support.

Hello Belltowners, A group of public safety minded community activists have been working diligently over the past few months to organize a Citizen's Patrol in Belltown. This Citizen's Patrol would achieve many goals: * Get a "positive" presence out on the streets in Belltown * Be a great outreach tool to encourage/enable residents to meet new neighbors * Engage/support local business in their efforts to make Belltown a great place to do business * Provide a fun, social atmosphere for dog walkers There is a training/info session on Tuesday March 10 at 6:00 p.m. at the West Precinct Community Room at 810 Virginia. Please come! (If you can't come on March 10 but still want to participate, that is fine. Just let us know at BelltownNeighbors@gmail.com and we'll make sure to get you looped in). The first scheduled walk is Saturday, March 14 at 3:00 p.m.
Attached is a flyer - please distribute far and wide! Sara Wysocki Downtown Neighborhood District Coordinator Department of Neighborhoods, City of Seattle Office: 206.233.8560/Cell: 206.571.1563
